Attention all quilters and fabric crafters! Like my wall hanging says,” Life is short, buy the fabric.” The schedule for the Quilt, Craft & Sewing Festival 2023 has been released and as in years past Phoenix AZ is one of the first stops. The festival will be making its first of three stops in State 48 on January 26 – 28, from 10 AM - 5 PM Thursday and Friday and 10 AM - 4 PM Saturday, at the Arizona State Fairgrounds located at 1826 West McDowell Rd., Phoenix AZ, 85007 (19th Ave & McDowell). Admission fees for the festival are $12 (for all three days) and there is a $2 coupon available on the festival's website. Additionally, there is a parking fee which ranges between $8 and $10 depending on which of the lots you park in. If you want to splurge there is VIP parking available for $30 but having gone to this show for a few years now the standard parking is not a long walk to the venue.
What can you find and expect from this festival? If you are into sewing or fabric crafts, you will find a variety of beautiful fabrics in every color and texture. Buttons and fasteners galore can be found. Also sold are sewing notions that are sure to help make your next job way easier. From cutting tools to clips that replace straight pins, I always find widgets that make my projects go smoother. It’s also a great place to test drive new sewing machines as all the major brands have booths setup and sales reps are available to answer any questions you might have.
Be sure to bring your imagination and a few bottles of water with you as this much shopping can really take tire you out.
